One viewpoint

Jonathan Bornstein, who is eligible to play for Mexico, on playing for the U.S.

"My dreams have always been with the United States. I grew up here. I've only been in Mexico once. Obviously, it's huge and a lot of pride for me to represent the United States. I'm looking forward to the game against Mexico and being on the red white and blue side and not on the green side."

Bornstein could've played for Israel as well. All he had to do was to declare himself and make aaliyah under the Israeli Law of Return. It looks like it will be U.S.A. all the way for Jonny B. We're happy to have him!

That's true, I guess, but the interest from Mexico was a little more concrete - reportedly scouts from Mexico were looking at Bornstein last year.
